- Dr. Mir is one of 2 physicians in the United States certified in both pediatric dermatology and dermatopathology
- He received his MD and PhD from the University of Cincinnati in Ohio before completing dermatology and dermatopathology training at New York University, and pediatric dermatology training at Northwestern University in Chicago. He then joined the faculty at the Univeristy of Texas Southwestern in Dallas, Texas before moving back to New York where he practices dermatopathology at Dermpath Diagnostics and both dermpath and pediatric dermatology on the faculty of Cornell University and New York Medical College
