• Professor of Dermatology and Venereology at Ain Shams University, Egypt
• He spent part of his career in the USA doing research about hepatitis C related dermatoses
• Has many international publications and wrote two book chapters in internationally renowned textbooks for Dermatology (Bolognia and Moschella textbooks of Dermatology)
• His main interest is inflammatory skin diseases including psoriasis, urticaria, atopic dermatitis, Hidradenitis Suppurativa and medical uses of laser and energy-based devices in treatment of dermatologic diseases
