- Graduated in 1989 with a medical degree, specialized in dermatology & venereology 1995 at the department of dermatology & venereology at Johann Wolfgang Goethe University in Frankfurt, Germany.
- Dr Thaçi has held the roles of senior consulting specialist in dermatology, director of clinical research, head of photo dermatology division from 1997-2011.
- Since 2013 he is a director & professor at the Institute & comprehensive center inflammation Medicine University of Lübeck, Germany.
- He also lectures on dermatology, cross section immunology, microbiology & publishing numerous articles in high reputation journals like New England journal of medicine or lancet.
- Editor, co-editor, member of editorial board for several scientific journals.
